Top News & Magazines Apps in Brazil: Q2 2025 Performance

In the second quarter of 2025, the top News and Magazines applications in Brazil showed varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users. This data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the market trends.

X (Formerly Twitter) from X Corp. saw its weekly revenue peaking at approximately $38K in mid-April, with a noticeable decline towards the end of the quarter, finishing at around $23K. Weekly downloads began at 161K, dipped significantly, but ended the quarter at about 88K. Active user numbers remained relatively stable, starting at 15.2M and closing at 14.1M.

Notícias Locais maintained a modest revenue stream, peaking at $110 in late April. Downloads were highest at the quarter's start with 41K, but saw a sharp decline, ending with just under 3K. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 1M in early April before declining to 744K by the end of June.

Consulta Benefício experienced a peak in downloads at 63K in mid-May. Revenue consistently remained low, peaking at $25 in the same period. Active users had a dip mid-quarter but rebounded to 52K by the end.

O Trabalhador did not generate revenue, but its download numbers were notable, starting at 34K and fluctuating throughout the quarter. The app's active user base showed a downward trend, starting at 97K and ending at 28K.

Consulta Bolsa Família had its highest downloads in early April at 12K, but experienced a significant drop towards the end of the quarter. Active users also saw a decline, starting at 29K and closing at 9K.
